Hands-On Dahlia Dividing & Growing Workshop
Join us in our flower gardens in Raglan for a relaxed and practical morning learning all about growing beautiful dahlias at home.
Over the past six years we’ve grown and cared for hundreds of dahlias, learning what works best in our local conditions. In this intimate small-group workshop, we’ll share our seasonal approach to growing healthy plants and armfuls of flowers — from planting through to lifting and dividing tubers at the end of the season.
During this 2-hour hands-on workshop you will learn:
• How to successfully grow dahlias through the seasons • Soil preparation, planting, staking, feeding and watering • Tips for strong plants and abundant blooms • When and how to dig up dahlia tubers • How to identify eyes and safely divide tubers • Best practices for storing tubers over winter This workshop is designed for both beginners and home gardeners wanting more confidence growing dahlias.
